Donor demographics and COVID-19

The goal of this study is to evaluate the impact of the pandemic on whole blood and double RBC donor characteristics. Donor demographic characteristics during the peak months of the pandemic (first time, repeat, lapsed; sex, age) will be compared to the same time periods in 2019. Part 2 of the study will evaluate the return rate of first time and lapsed donors who first donated during the pandemic, and compare them to return rates in 2019.
A short survey about major changes in recruitment and collection practices will be included.
