Study Title
Optimization of Cryopreservation of Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs)
Study Description
The approach to cryopreservation of cell therapies traditionally defaults to methods used with hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells and includes use of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). The need for improvement of post-thaw integrity (i.e., viability and function of MSCs), and hence exportability, has prompted this investigation. Additionally, elimination of DMSO has been an ongoing goal in the cell therapy field due to cell and patient infusion toxicities
