The Fall 2020 BEST Meeting is scheduled for 13-14 October 2021 as an in-person event for those who are able and willing to travel. The hotel is only six miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and just minutes from Venice Beach. The property is located on the marina and is close to seaside dining locations, water recreation, and beach access. We will be hosting the meeting on Zoom simultaneously for our members and approved guests who are not able to join us.

IMPORTANT UPDATES: Due to the ongoing issues with COVID, we have made some changes to the meeting format. These include:

• The Scott Murphy Award Lecture will occur during the 30th Anniversary Celebration Virtual Symposium on Saturday, 06 November, 2021. The administrative reports will be given during the lunch on the 1st day, Wednesday.
• Both the Conventional Components and Clinical Transfusion Studies unopposed sessions will be held on the 1st day, Wednesday. the opposing Donor Studies and Cellular Therapy sessions will be held on the 2nd day Thursday.
• The BEAM Meeting will be held virtually at a later date to be announced.
• The Main Meeting on day 2 will end one hour earlier than usual.
• We will be holding the BEST Dinner onsite at the Marriott Marina del Rey rather than at an offsite venue

Los Angeles County has announced an updated vaccine and mask requirement which is summarized HERE. You should be prepared to provide proof of vaccination if you plan to attend the meeting in person.
