Study Title
WAA and HSCT: Engraftment & Immune Cytopenias
Study Description
WAA are commonly detected in the plasma of patients. These antibodies can be clinically significant to cause WAIHA and other immune mediated cytopenias, or can be clinically insignificant but create serological complexity during pre-transfusinon testing. The impact of WAA on post-transplant course, particularly those identified during pre-transplantation testing, is not well studied. This second aim of this study will focus on the impact of WAA in HSCT patients to gain better understanding of the impact of WAA on post-HSCT immune-mediated hemolysis and post-HSCT course (i.e. delayed engraftment, prolonged RBC transfusion immune-mediated cytopenias).
